While my website may be hosted and reformatted with Bullet.So, I am actually populating the website with a direct integration from the software called NOTION. I’ve been told this software has incredible team workspace potential and strong data management as well for folks who aren’t so knee deep in the humanities as I am. It’s very modular to suit your specific needs and seems to service a wide range of purposes.
I use this much like a blog because it has a very content-focused interface that encourages building large datasets rather than getting stuck in single posts or web design. What I’ve really enjoyed is how it has an informal nature to it that allows my digital garden to feel unpolished and direct, authentic — rather than overwrought substack articles (which I certainly tried my hand at and felt exhausted by).
I think I felt Obsidian could be is actually what Notion can do better. However I do still enjoy Obsidian quite a lot for the 1st draft notetaking system — filtering ideas into Notion as I am ready to complete the thought. It’s also very useful at structuring my To Dos, making it super clear what work is unfinished and directing my energy to completing that dataset.
